"I hesitated placing some
of the letters below on this webpage. They almost sound too enthusiastic
to be true! But these are real emails from real people - I believe people
are writing this way because they have finally found something that works
and they're pouring out their feelings about it!
I'm honored and grateful."

I just wanted to drop you a note and tell
you that I received the CDs Saturday. And I am NOT disappointed that I
purchased this program. It is fantastic!!!
For the past 26 years of my piano playing
life, I have wanted to be able to do what this course apparently teaches.
I have just finished listening through the program and am about to start
from the beginning.
I can't remember the last time I was this
excited about piano lessons!!!
Anyway, thanks again. It was indeed a pleasure
doing business with you.
Until next time, Z.R.

Hi Dave,
Just want to let you know that I have received
your CD's today. I have listened to both CDs, and I really enjoyed them.
The first time ever, something I bought
actually works for me. I'm looking forward to study the advanced course.
...once again, ... thanks for the piano
lessons.

Hello Mr. Sprunger
I appreciate your help very much.
Honestly, this low price you're charging
for such a terrific guide, I believe, is beyond reasonable!
Thanks again for taking time to reply and
for sharing your knowledge with others.
Sincerely S.A.

Your piano lessons were extremely
helpful. I have been using keyboards to write music for years now, and
came across your program. I figured, "maybe it can help." I too suffered
through the traditional... nonsense until I realized they lacked the basics
of music. I figured your program was based on that concept, and tried it
out.
Even though industrial isn't your specialty,
I think you should be proud that it even helped in that area. Not only
did it help the piano playing, but it also worked when I used the synth
with other "instruments." I also came across another program basically
like this one. It was awful. I'm glad someone has finally been able to
take something we musicians all know and be able to "put it into words."
It's sort of like an emotion: everyone knows about it and has felt it,
but very few can explain it well.
Thanks again.

Hi Dave,
Good morning! I am glad that my final examinations
are finally over and have the time to listen to your course (at 4:00 am!).
I intended to devote my entire break to your course so didn't start listening
to it right after receiving from you. Besides, I don't want it to compromise
my study. However, after listening, I should put it in the other way around
as it's too well prepared and of excellent quality. Really, I can't thank
you enough for creating this course!
Many are selling their inferior products
more than (2X, 3X!!!) what you are asking for on the Net! Although it may
seems odd that a customer complains that you have not charged enough for
your product, I have been forbidding my urge to do so for quite a while...

Received the course. I think it will help
me immensely. Thank you for sharing your talents.
(email on file)
Thank YOU! I've only gone through "intro"
and "page 1-5" and am amazed at what I've picked up already.
I've played piano for over 30 years and
play COMPLETELY by ear. Took lessons for 8 years as a kid...and took 8
years to figure out I couldn't read a note! This is definitely going to
help build the foundation that's been missing all this time.
Thanks again!

Hi David!
I just got the music course last night!
I love it!!! You make learning the piano soooo easy! You have explained
some things that I never understood before. I was always baffled buy things
like half steps and all the other things you have made so simple to understand.
My favorite Bach composition is "St. Annes,
fugue in E Flat Major." Now I understand just what an E Flat Major is!!!
Thank you so much for being on this earth
and that God blessed me with finding this wonderful course. I am going
to teach it to my kids and recommend it to my friends (and anyone else
who will listen!)

I'm just so glad that someone had the
talent and took the time to put together a program like this. The directions
you include in the program are exact and to the point
Thank you again!

Hi David,
You are welcome to use any of my comments
on your website. I am positive that just about all serious students will
be happy to have found your course, and I am happy to encourage them to
take the plunge.
Thanks again, and I hope that you and yours
have a terrific holiday season and a happy new year!

Mr. Sprunger -
I've spent some time today reading and
listening to the audio on your site (thank you so much for allowing me
to do that -- it was so helpful). Although things are rather basic right
now (p.5), I think that this is just what I need. I love your style of
teaching and approach. All that I need is to be able to put your method
into practice to make it work.
Your site is great -- very easy to use
and extremely well done, being precise but not overwhelming a reader by
too much information on each page. The audio, as well, works nicely, the
options and explanation being particularly helpful.
Once again, thank you. I think you've got
a very good idea here, and I'm very excited about learning.

My wife and I have been singing gospel
music for 34 years. We started using a guitar for accompaniment. I finger
pick using patterns for the chords. I have been playing keyboard and piano
for about 4 years and I am excited about your course! You are teaching
me exactly what I wanted to learn. I had discovered some patterns but my
playing was starting to sound the same. Your course is a breath of freshness.
The Internet access works perfectly, the
text is easy to understand.
God Bless you!!

Hello David! I'm so grateful to you and
your method of pattern playing!
ordered the original course as well
as the bonus pack with blues and praise chords stuff too! I have not received
my CD’s as of yet, but I did download the original stuff and I was well
pleased at the content!
I just had to write to you and let you
know how I felt about the course thus far. I'm looking forward to learning
even more of how I can use this course to improve my playing ability to
the professional level that I want so badly!
May God continue to bless you and to use
you as an instrument to bless people like myself in the musical journey!
Sincerely yours’

Dave,
Thanks for a great course. I have
been playing for years, the old way (melody in right hand, etc.).
I met some friends who wanted me to play backup / rhythm and I had no clue
how to do this. Your course is really helping. You are sharing God's
gift to you with us and I appreciate it.
Thanks again,
Stephen

Hi David,
I received your DVD2 Pattern Piano. Excellent
quality DVD. Like you, I'm also drawn to the sound of minor chords. I lean
more toward the classical sound, but I also like those haunting, Irish
ballads. Do you know any Irish sounding patterns?
What really impressed me on the DVD was
how beautiful those simple patterns sound when they are alternately played
from Chord to Chord. They stand alone themselves without the singing especially
the chord progression in Poor Wayfaring Stranger.
Anyway, thought Id drop you note letting
you know I really like your DVD. You are an excellent teacher. Keep up
the good work.

Dear David
I don't have words to express my gratitude.
All these courses are excellent
and your approach to music is unique.
I am now studying lesson 7 and more or
less trying to master it. It has been
a little difficult since I was not
familiar with that song at all, but I
am doing my best!
I am also trying to make some arrangements
of some latin songs (Boleros. I have hundreds of them!), using the rhythmic
patterns used in your course up to lesson #7. They sound good (At least
to my ears!).
I received all the DVDs and CD Rom
you sent me. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I am truly enjoying them!!
Blues seven skill are hard work but they
fantastic!!
Thank you again.
Forgive my poor English
Good bless you

I found your site by accident.
I hoped to find a better guitar advantage for voice.
I like to play harmony and I am just in
the intermediate stage. My math (such as you presented it online) has been
good.
It also gave me many ideas for bringing
more blues to my guitar chords. I can read music such as an elementary
student would read english. The point in sending this email was mostly
to thank you for all your fine effort.
also will be buying a good keyboard and
following with you until I get good enough for lessons. I have just noticed
that two instruments will be better than one. I have a timing problem not
a reading problem. I had thought of a drum machine, but the keyboard will
eliminate some cost. I just could not allow good people to go to such an
effort as yours without saying thank you.

Hi David,
I am a 34 year old profession who DJs online
in his spare time.
I was thinking of ways to make new stuff
for the radio station, original background music for my breaks and for
tags, when happened into a Re-Mac (Apple computer) store while the employee
was giving a demonstration of Garage Band. It hit me that it would be a
great way to make my own music, but I didn't know how to play and I didn't
want to just use the 'canned' loops that the program offers to make a musical
collage. I wanted to use the 50 virtual instruments to make my own.
So, my next step was to find a keyboard
and a piano course. I ended up with a Keystation 49e by M-Audio. I looked
up piano courses online, and when I came across your webpage, I was really
impressed with it. Something about what you were saying struck a chord
(pun intended).
It also hit me what you said about how
'classic' piano lessons made students more like parrots, able to
play music without understanding what they are really playing. Made me
thing of speaking and writing. As we grow, we learn to speak before we
learn to read & write, so that when we do learn how to read & write,
the words are more than just marks on a paper, they have instinctive meaning
to us. This is what I see in your course. Learning to play and understand
the music, rather than learning to play marks on a paper.
I ordered the DVD course last week and,
although I haven't received the DVD yet, have started working my way through
the downloaded lessons. If everything works out as well as I assume it
will, you can bet you will be hearing more from me soon, and that I will
also be recommending your course to anyone that will listen to me.
Thanks again.

Hi David,
I just want to say thank you for being
the inspiration that you are to so many of us "want-to-be" piano players.
Your course is a must have for anyone who
is serious about wanting to learn the piano. Your course is very inexpensive
compared to others and you actually make people feel like you are right
there with them next to the piano.
What appears to be a basic approach on
the surface is really an innovative technique that diminishes fear and
instill confidence within your students regardless of their previous experience
or background. You are are a true Godsend.
What you do is much more than a public
service....it's ministry. What a tremendously helpful website, what
a great warrior in the Lord. I look forward to purchasing more great music
products from you and supporting you with my prayers. God Bless!

David,
Thanks to you I am getting very little
sleep at night any more. I bought a
grand piano about a year ago. Big old,
I mean old, 6 foot Ivers & Pond
monster. I bought it really for my daughter
(12 years old) to play when
she comes over. She has been taking lessons
for about two years. She just
didn't play it much though. Anyway, the
thing basically had just been
sitting there in that room for a couple
months and finally I decided that
I either needed to get rid of it or learn
to play it. Well I opted for the
second choice and came upon your website
while doing a search on playing the piano.
I ended up getting your original course
and have become totally
addicted to playing. It is all I do anymore.
I did not realize how
mathematical music was until you taught
me the chord structures. I also
work with a guy who is a jam up keyboard
player. All he ever talks about
is that dad gum "Circle of Fifths." Well
it took some time but it finally
hit me one day what he was talking about.
How every song can be analyzed
by that circle. It is amazing to see how
the chord progressions are
spelled out. I think it would be helpful
if you could incorporate the
circle into your website because it really
opened my eyes as to how the
chord progressions in songs work. I think
it really is THE next most
important thing students should learn
once they understand chord
structure. Anyway I am going on too much.
At least I'm not preaching to
you about taking the "Original Course."
Oh that's right its' your course
isn't it.? Sorry!
Dave I just want to tell you that you have
been a real blessing to me.
This may sound crazy but I find great
comfort in listening to you and your
music on your website and lessons of which
I have purchased several. I am
anxiously awaiting delivery of your record
"Sitting at the Feet of Jesus."
Your love for the Lord and people comes
through like a bell ringing on a
foggy shoreline. God has given you a wonderful
gift and I wanted to let
you know that He is speaking to people
through you and your website
because He has spoken to me. Please pray
that God will continue to work in
me.
I have to tell you that I have about gone
crazy in the past year learning
all those chords and that Circle of Fifths,
but I have learned them. I
have only been playing for about ten months
or so and I want so much to be
a very good pianist. I keep wondering
when I am going to be able to play
smoothly. I know the chords and even a
lot of altered chords. It just is
so hard to get the rhythm. I feel like
I have tremendous head knowledge,
but it is getting it to come out through
my fingers without all the
hesitation. Are there any drills you can
suggest that would help me in
this area. Your "Worship" and "Intros
and Turnarounds" lessons have helped
me with thinking about how to embellish
the chords and fill those
deadspots.
Working through your song "All Glory to
Jesus" was really a
great drill on how to think through a
lead sheet and be creative. I wish
you would do more of those. I know I am
improving. I mean I have to cause I
play every day. Usually for at least two
or three hours. I just want to
find some good practice drills to get
me to where I can read those lead
sheets and play. Thanks Dave.

...I have a hard time with my left
hand making my thumb and little finger S-t-r-e-t-c-h on the the keyboard
with six keys in between. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
By the way I am a 53 year old woman , I
have always had this deep desire to play the piano, your program
seemed to make that possible for me and I want to play by ear' to
express what's in my head.

Dear David,
I wanted to drop you a line to tell you
how impressed I am with your online piano courses.
I purchased the Original Course and downloaded
it and learned more in one afternoon than in years of on-again-off-again
lessons.
The blues lesson was extremely helpful
- I would dearly love to take that to the next level - do you have any
more blues lessons available?
Thanks again for a marvelous course - very
well put together.

James

Hi David
I'm 35 years old and have never played
any instrument.
Recently I was inspired by my having a
go on my brother in laws keyboard to get one of my own. I searched the
internet for lessons and found your website.
I just wanted to say thank you for putting
such a great course together and making it available for download :-)
I'm using the "Rhythmic Patterns" download
and am progressing faster than my friend who has a piano tutor :-)
You just can't beat the clear explanations
and video clips. My friend's tutor is gone after a half hour but I can
keep rewinding your video clips to get it right.
Thanks again
Regards

Dear David,
I am a veteran "read
music and play by the book" classically trained pianist, if you can call
me that.
I gave up playing years ago....Having had
some natural ability and love for the instrument, I learned how to read
music quickly and played many beautiful and difficult pieces...but could
never improvise, and never truly and deeply understood music as far as
theory went.
Theory bored me and I avoided it.
I never studied past high school and never persevered with independent
study. I came across an ...email from you by accident and was intrigued.
I signed up and eventually put the CD in the player recently.
I had a clue you might know Jesus when
I saw that you offered a Worship Music series...but I was sure when I heard
your voice on the CD and the choices of music for the lessons....those
hymns and spirituals and the way you sang about Him. Then I went
to the site to download the book and went to your personal message and
saw your note sharing the gospel. I encourage you in your work and
rejoice that you know Him too and are telling others about Him.
I am still in
the listening phase of the CDs and will let you know how I do when I put
fingers to the keyboard. My hope is that I can one day play the
piano for Him in worship and praise, not ever for others because I
don't have a beautiful voice like yours or many others, but if I could
lead some other broken souls to truly worship Him in someone's living room
by playing the way you instruct....that is my sole purpose in taking your
class. I am grateful for your simple and yet musically accurate method.
I will let you know when I need to order the next lesson series...and I
will keep you in my prayers as you try to do His Will.
God bless you,
Ann

Heya David...
Having only been
through the first lesson, i can say that this is an
excellent course...You are truly a genius
not only with the way you bring
across this course of piano, but also
in the user-friendliess of this
program...And how many queries are pre-empted
by you..its superb...
What's the secret
behind these success?..haha... Good luck in the new year... You rule man!

Dear David,
God Bless You. Thank you so much.
I have been giving a friend little lessons
on Wednesday evening after church.
She can't read except just limited words
but knows her numbers and letters. I have been keeping it real simple
and going real easy on her. But her mother always is telling me she
wishes she could play even just a little and I keep telling that if I can
do it she can do it. So I give her the same lesson except I've written
out the chords for her. That way she learns a little but she can also help
her daughter practice.
I am very limited. I play right hand
by note and left by ear. But could only play in a few keys (C, F,
G, D & Bb). I really had a desire to do more.
I'm Music Director at our little church
and play the piano on Wednesday night service. I fill in for
my other two "good" piano players if they have to miss.
I really believe God led me to your site
when I began playing for his blessing in helping me learn to do more for
Him. He has blessed me to write songs and my family has had a southern
gospel music ministry for years.
But I always have to get my songs on track
or have someone to play them. That is not always easy, especially
if you're in a hurry. I'm sorry. I go on to much.
Anyway, thanks for crediting my card
and I am going to give this course to [names removed]. They are not
financially loaded but abundantly wealthy in Godly wisdom and character.
My husband and I always want to bless them all we can. You are helping
us do that. I thank God for you and your generosity. Bless
you. I will recommend this course to everyone I know.
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Patsy - A more than satisfied customer

Dear David,
I purchased your Pattern Piano course several
months back and also purchased your Worship CD recently and just want to
say thank you for what you have done.
I am the youth leader in our church and
I have played the bass guitar for several years, but have always
had an interest in the piano and music in general. When I finally got enough
desire to really sit down and learn to play the piano I found your
course and started it right away.
After just a few months now studying your
course I have now began to lead our youth choir (We have never had one
before) and we have already played in church twice and our young people
are ready for more as well as our church members.
I just want to tell you that I could not
have gotten as far as I have playing the piano in such a short time
if it had not been for your courses.
You have truly been a blessing in my life
and now many others here in Texas that do not even know you.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience
in such a great way.
God Bless,
Raymond

Hello...
My name is Gilbert. I am a 36 year old
father of three growing monsters for boys....I am not only pleased with
your course but i am excited to say that I would refer you to anyone and
everyone who will listen.
My only musical background other than wanting
to learn was humming or singing a tune that got stuck in my head. I had
the pleasure of purchasing your course and am delighted to say that while
in the fact that i am learning....i have learned thru your course what
i wanted to learn.
I have never played a musical instrument
before....and now i get an excited tingly feeling when my boys lean over
me and say " wow daddy that sounds good" that was all i needed to hear
in order to believe that this course was simply amazing. In this day and
age of that noisy stuff my boys listen to and for them to say that to me
made it all worth while.
Mr. Sprunger...thank you very much. One
day...i will learn to play the piano like i really want too....but
you have me on my way.

Mr. Sprunger:
Again, I have to say thank you.
After spending ten years, as a child and
into adolescence, being forced to take piano lessons from an instructor
who could not adequately explain scales and chords to me I hated the piano.
It's been 45 years since I touched a piano.
After discovering your course I am now
playing music, which my friends and neighbors enjoy. They often stop
by the house to hear me practice and request that I play their favorite
songs!
The best thing that has happened since
I discovered Pattern Piano occurred when my oldest grand daughter was visiting.
She is ten and her parents have had her taking "classical" piano instruction
for the past three years. She's an extremely bright young lady, but
was having the same problem as me: She didn't just didn't comprehend
intervals, how scales and their notes are actually formed and the entire
relationship of keys, etc. Frankly, she had an instructor who had
poor communication skills, and thus relied on rote memorization.
She heard me practicing one day and asked
me how I (the musical klutz) could make such beautiful music. I put
your DVD in the player so she could see it from the piano and left her
alone at the piano for an hour. After an hour I returned to find
my grand daughter playing Schubert and segueing (not sure on the
proper spelling) into the Beatles, back to Bach, then some rap group I
didn't know.
All I can say is thank you! You've
made an old man happy. Your Pattern Piano has made me happy to play
simple tunes, but you may have, also given the impetus to a new arising
piano diva.
Yours respectfully,
J. R.

I just today received my course
with the Blues Piano Video-- the greatest stuff I've ever ordered.
I've ordered ALL the major players of online teachers and not one of them
(including your competitor!) can come close to producing the results you
have given me in just a few short hours of practice.
From the bottom of my heart I am truly
thankful to you.
Eddie
Thanks forever!!!
(email on file)
Having struggled for the last ten years
to play something that sounds remotely like R&B and only managing to
make everything sound like a rather depressing Hymn I had all but
given up hope.
Then I discovered your website and thanks
to your superb instruction HOORAY! it suddenly makes sense..
No more sitting staring at poor arrangements
of excellent rock songs that end up sounding like lift music. (since when
did a rock pianist play the melody!)
No more counting the notes in the right
and left hand whilst trying to work out chords and keys..."Right so I hit
a C7 on the fourth and fifth semi quavers then I do this pushing beat thing
on the last beat of the bar.....Oh no I've lost count, how many flats in
Eb major, I give up.. it's no good I haven't got any rhythm!"
Now I don't have to tell everybody that
"I only like playing classical music anyway!"
I couldn't even do that without the music
in front of me, and never managed to memorize many pieces unless they were
very short and then promptly forgot them a week later!
Although I have a lot more practicing to
do, (which I just cant' get enough of by the way...( I love it!)... .If
only my old piano teacher could see me now!)
the kids have started to think maybe
Mum's not just a rubbish piano player with no taste in music after all.
Maybe she a bit cool (only the tiniest bit, hardly enough to mention!)
and suddenly want me to teach them to play instead of yawning and making
a rapid exit every time I sit down at the piano.
I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge
and talent, in such a clear and concise way, I feel I have accomplished
more in a few days than I did during six years of piano
lessons.
Oh how I dreaded those lessons, half an
hour a week feeling like the clumsiest fool, ..."Play
that again this time try playing at least some of the right notes, what
time was that supposed to be in I don't think 11/4 time has been invented
yet!, Why exactly is your left hand copying what your right hand is doing,
I can't that written hear, can you? ..etc.
Your obvious enthusiasm for music is totally
infectious, now I feel excited about learning (instead of a little nauseous)
and the sense of achievement is incredible, you've got us singing and accompanying
ourselves in a matter of hours.
After a term under the gloomy supervision
of my disapproving piano teacher I finally got to play "Merrily We Roll
Along" all on one note but in the right rhythm. I can remember playing
it to everyone and getting really annoyed when no-one knew what is was.
Anyway, due to your great motivational
skills, I will have to go now as I feel a Riff coming on!
